SWIMMERS

Created in August 2025 in Joncels, France, Swimmers emerged during a summer weekend with friends. What began as a spontaneous moment—bodies diving and floating in a pool—gradually transformed through the artist’s gaze into a visual exploration of movement, light, and water.

Photographed from above, the swimmers appear fragmented by the shifting surface, their forms dissolving and reappearing through reflections and ripples. The bodies evoke the fluid grace of koi fish while recalling the soft luminosity and compositional balance found in Italian Renaissance painting.

In Swimmers, the ordinary becomes an aquatic choreography where the human body appears suspended, ephemeral, and constantly in transformation.
